Margaret Barrie   

 

Margaret is a very accomplished international speaker with over 25 years of speaking on a wide range of topics. She speaks as a motivational humorist to corporations, associations and community organizations. Her expertise includes carefully crafted presentations and keynotes on corporate leadership, facilitation, mentoring, communication and team building. Margaret’s experience includes leadership in today’s multigenerational workforce setting. She applies much of her teaching and mentoring to today’s workplace environment with all generations. She has co-authored ‘Awakening the Workplace’ Volume 3. Many of her experiences and lessons learned are outlined for you to learn from.

Margaret’s speaking inspires and entertains. Her messages are memorable and powerful. The passion in the message will inspire people to be all they can be, by building self esteem, poise, confidence and gives them the tools they need to become leaders. 

Margaret is passionate about empowering women to take charge of their lives. By sharing her story of: surviving domestic violence, she can help women understand their personal strength and power to make it through adversity to a position of leadership and personal growth.

Margaret’s Education has included courses at Crotonville Business Academy, New York, the University of California Los Angeles; and Madison University Mississippi. Her credentials include Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology; certification as a Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer; and international certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.

At present she sits on the Board of Directors for the Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.; the Board of Directors for the Canadian Society of Echocardiography, and the Educational Advisory Committee for Mohawk College. Margaret is a member of Toastmasters International and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. As well she is a member of the United Way Speakers Bureau.
